Chinese calligraphy is a visual art and originated and developed from China.
Today we had a very successful calligraphy class.My students were so excited about “painting”. Actually,it is not painting but writing on the rice paper.After enjoying the video, they could wait to have a try and created their art works.First of all, I give them some newspaper to practice the Chinese characters on it, then then could pick a word from google and imitated it on the rice paper which is very soft and best paper for doing calligraphy.The most difficult part is holding the writing brush for my students.Because the writing brush is not a pencil, people should hold it vertically and couldn’t touch the desk with the wrists while they were practicing writing. It is so hard for the beginners to hold the writing brush. My students did a very good job.
书法课
书法，是一门视觉艺术，起源于中国，流传至今。
今天我上了一堂非常成功的书法课。我的学生们非常兴奋，他们终于可以“画画”啦。实际上，书法不是在纸上画画，而是写汉字。欣赏书法视频之后，他们已经迫不及待地尝试创作属于他们的艺术作品了。首先，我发给他们每人一些废弃的报纸用来练习，然后他们可以从谷歌浏览器中选出一些常见的书法模板进行模仿，这一次他们要使用书法专用纸-宣纸。练习书法最难的一部就是如何执笔。因为毛笔不是铅笔，学生们要悬腕执笔，毛笔呈垂直状态，并且手腕不能碰触桌子。对于初学者来说，拿好毛笔真的很难，但是我的学生们真的做得很好！
